English Language ProficiencyExchange and study abroad students applying to come to Monash must meet the same Monash English language requirements as all other students. With your application you must provide documentary evidence that you meet one of the following requirements:
While Monash accepts either an IELTS or TOEFL test, in some countries an IELTS test is required to obtain an Australian student visa -- see the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website for details. If you are just below the minimum English entry scores, you should consider doing an English language bridging program at Monash to bring your English up to the necessary level. If you are accepted at Monash as an exchange or study abroad student and English is not your first language, you should consider doing some of the special units which will give you good insights into Australian culture and language. Minimum IELTS and TOEFL test scoresThe minimum scores required for students seeking entry to Monash are given on the following link: http://www.monash.edu/study/international/apply/entry-requirements-english.html |
