Students are not required to be enrolled full time in their final semester where the students have been required to repeat units of study. (NC 40)

B. Guidelines
Under Government legislation, international students on a student visa can repeat a unit once only if enrolled part-time and in their final semester of study.
The interpretation of the rule regarding the repeating of failed units is that students can repeat a unit more than once if enrolled as a full time student. Students however enrolled part time and in their final semester can repeat once only.
Identify students who are enrolled in their final semester and repeating a failed unit
Counsel these students concerning their academic progress, advising them they can repeat once only as a final semester part time student and refer students as appropriate to University support services
Ensure that students maintain a FT enroll load while repeating a failed unit except for students who are in their final semester of study;
Ensure that no students re-enroll in a unit already repeated as a final semester part time student
Inform Client Services if a student is unable to complete their course owing to restrictions imposed by the 'repeating units' rule
