Marketing is carried out with accuracy and integrity (NC 19)
If another provider provides a course under arrangement with a registered provider, permission from the registered provider must be obtained if the provider wishes to advertise the provision of that course, and must identify the registered provider and their CRICOS number in any marketing material. (NC 20)
No false or misleading comparisons shall be drawn with any other provider or their courses. (NC 19)
Providers must not make any inaccurate claims of association with any other provider or organization, or give inaccurate advice as to acceptance into another course. (NC 19)
The provider in written material (and electronic form) must identify the provider and provider code when making an offer to an overseas student or intending student to provide a course, inviting an overseas or intending student to undertake or apply for a course, or claiming ability or its willingness to provide a course to overseas students. (s. 107)
The university has a clearly enunciated policy for the promotion, marketing and delivery of its education services (AVCC Code, clause 10)

Student Information
The provider must not accept an overseas student or an intending overseas student unless they have given the following to the student prior to enrolment:
General description of the course
Qualifications gained on completion
Duration of the course
Teaching methods
Assessment methods
Details of any other provider involved in delivery of the course and location of delivery
Details of any recognition of the course by other providers
A general description of the facilities, equipment and learning resources available to students
An itemised list of all fees payable to the provider
Entry requirements, including the minimum level of English language proficiency required, educational qualifications and work experience where relevant
Details of the local environment in which the provider is operating, including location of campuses and indicative costs of living (NC 21)
Support services provided (NC 45)
Advice regarding school-aged dependents accompanying them to Australia will be required to pay full fees if they are enrolled in either a government or non-government school (NC 24)
The marketing of courses for international students with integrity and accuracy and the provision of prescribed information to students' pre acceptance are cornerstones of the ESOS Act. These matters are considered together in paragraphs 19-25 of the Code. ESOS requires that once CRICOS approval has been granted, marketing and publicity information for the course must be accurate, clear and unambiguous
Monash International and faculties in written form and electronically, both provide marketing materials and student information pre acceptance. Both have ESOS compliance responsibilities.
In the marketing of courses through written material (including electronic form) the provider name (Monash University) and provider code (00008C) must be displayed. For MUELC and Monash College courses the Monash International Pty Ltd provider name and code 01857J must be displayed
Certain information must be provided to students' pre acceptance. The following should be noted:
The fee payable listed on the Monash International web site and in the international students course guide (the course and entry requirements section) represents the annual course fee only.
Additional fees such as amenities and OSHC fees are referred to in the guide separately. If faculties have any other voluntary fees such as the cost of printing supplementary course material, which are payable by international students they should advise Monash International for inclusion in the appropriate publications and websites.
Monash International provides generic information relating to visas, a campus based general description of the local environment, living costs, services and facilities and a faculty based statement regarding equipment and learning resources. See: http://www.monash.edu/international/esos/database/
Faculty staff can access this information for use in their publications or it can be referred to on the Monash International web site.
Display the provider name (Monash University) and provider code (00008C) on all written materials for prospective international students undertaking courses provided by Monash University
Ensure that all marketing materials:
Uphold the reputation of Australian international education and training
Not have false or misleading comparisons drawn between any other provider and their courses
Not make any inaccurate claims of association with any other provider or organization
Not give inaccurate advice as to acceptance into another course
Ensure that all necessary information is provided to applicants as required
Applicants accepting an offer are required to acknowledge that they have been able to access, read and accept the conditions of the offer.
2. Monash International Pty Ltd
Display the provider name (Monash International Pty Ltd) and provider code (01857J) on all written materials for prospective international students for Monash College and MUELC courses
Ensure that all marketing materials:
Uphold the reputation of Australian international education and training
Not have false or misleading comparisons drawn between any other provider and their courses
Not make any inaccurate claims of association with any other provider or organization
Not give inaccurate advice as to acceptance into another course
Ensure that all necessary information is provided to applicants as required
Applicants accepting an offer are required to acknowledge that they have been able to access, read and accept the conditions of the offer.
3. Faculty
Display the provider name (Monash University) and provider code (00008C) on all written materials for prospective international students
Nomenclature in written material must correspond with the award title
Marketing and information material must:
Uphold the reputation of Australian international education and training
Not have false or misleading comparisons drawn between any other provider and their courses
Not make any inaccurate claims of association with any other provider or organization
Not give inaccurate advice as to acceptance into another course
