About the presentation...
The subject BSU3400 "Multimedia for Business" is now in its forth year at the School of Business Systems within the Faculty of Information Technology. In this seminar Raymond will share his teaching experience in the effective use of multimedia and supervision of students' assignments. Creative user interface designs, effective use of multimedia data and synchronisation of temporal data types to convey messages effectively are some of the topics that will be discussed. Marketing prototype for Z3 of BMW, Information kiosk of Mt Buller, the Tourist Guide of Melbourne, computer assisted teaching of Adobe Premier and PhotoShop, public education of diabetes and the RACV driver test guide book are some of work done by students that will be demonstrated. The process of creating the CD-ROM for the School of Business Systems will be used to highlight the issues in the project management of multimedia application development within a student environment. The seminar is designed for staff who are considering using students as resources to develop their multimedia applications and those who wish to form collaborative development teams with others. Those who just want to find out how multimedia is taught are also welcome.
