About Health and Wellbeing
Our staff provide a range of health and wellbeing services for both students and staff.
Health and Wellbeing counsellors, medical practitioners, multi-faith chaplains and student advisers focus on:
- Supporting and promoting physical and emotional wellbeing
- All facets of university life affecting health and wellbeing - from accommodation and financial aid, to work/study and life balance issues
- All stages of the student life cycle, from transition to university through to graduation
- Fostering active involvement in, and the building of, a caring and safer university community
Teams of professionals at each campus are supported by a central group that coordinates university-wide functions.
Working together with other organisational units, Health and Wellbeing delivers programs that contribute to:
- Physical and mental health by providing high quality services and interventions
- Fitness and resilience by increasing participation in Wellbeing at Monash (W@M)
- A safer community by initiatives that prevent as well as aid recovery from critical incidents
- A whole of university approach to student transition and retention
