The RST consists of a team of 4 absolutely friendly and fantastic people. The best times to contact them are between 6pm - 9pm everyday. You should contact your nearest RST member if you are having trouble with your flatmates, feeling lonely or would like to organise some functions.

Residential Support Team

The Residential Support Team (RST) is responsible for the welfare of residents. Resident Advisors are volunteers who assist the College Heads of their respective residences to develop a safe, accepting and caring community environment and to enfore the rules set out by MRS in order to avoid inconsistencis. The RST are here to assist you should you have any problems during your stay at South East Flats.

College Head - Jason Whitaker

Born in Mount Beauty in North East Victoria (Near Falls creek ski resort), Jason started an undergraduate course in Science at MonashUniversity, 15 years ago. After completing that degree, Jason began working for Monash University in administration as the University Housing officer. Today he currently works for M.R.S as the Operations Manager. As College Head of the South East Flats, Jason co-ordinates and oversees all aspects of the daily operation of the South East Flats. The College Head funds and co-ordinates all activities and the resident advisors of the South East Flats. The College Head is also responsible for the allocation of rooms to applicants and for room transfers and implementation of all M.R.S policies.

Residential Support Assistant - Nonzahriyah Adun

Non, short for Nonzahriyah, was born and raised in Singapore. She made the decision to come to Monash University, after taking a year off upon graduating from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Computer Network & Technology. Non came to live in South East Flats in July 2005, when she arrived to start pursuing her degree in Bachelor of Multimedia Systems (Enterprise) @ Berwick Campus. Upon graduation, Non continues to live at South East Flats as the Residential Support Asssistant, assisting the College Head with any matters during his absence. Non is also the Network Advisor & Web-Coordinator for SEF. She is willing to assist you in any network problems that you might have. She also takes care of the maintenance of this website.

Resident Advisor - Kashish Katoch

I came to melbourne from Shimla, India in 2004 to pursue a degree in engineering.. and contrary to the general notion, the part of india I come from is freckin freezing, it snows like hell in the winters, its not all that populated and is quiet clean...I lived off campus for the first 6 months with a couple of strangers I hadnt met before.. They were both australians and helped me heaps in adapting to the new culture. Then i was asked by one of my mates to fill in a slot at SEF in  5 bedroom flat..and thus began the legend of flat 1/11. Without a doubt it was one of the most social places in all of SEF and something or the other was always happening... Also I have to finally move out to a RA flat..but still..i cherish the memories..

People might come to realize my love for music from all the noise they might hear coming out of my room, i apologise in advance for that, although i am willing to take requests.. ;) I am a huge sports fanatic, playing volleyball for Monash and in the 2 years that i have been at SEF, helped out and participated with pretty much all the sports, hence i will be your sports cooordinator for this year. My door is always open to any suggestions or problems or even if you wanna chill out and have a few beers.

Resident Advisor - Lucinda Borg

I have lived in Whistler, Canada, for the last 16 months supervising the Front Desk/Office of a small Boutique Hotel. Having not seen much snow before I had a fabulous time learning how to ski, attempting to ice skate and trying other winter sports such as snowmobiling! I am returning to Monash University to obtain a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) majoring in Music. I completed a Music Performance degree @ Monash University in 2002, spending part of this time living on Campus at Richardson Hall. After this I taught piano in a music studio, worked in Property Management and held a singing scholarship with St Marks Choir in Fitzroy.
