Residents are reminded to treat the Pavilion like your own home. Do not litter, Do not leave it in a mess & most of all to clean up after yourselves!!

THE PAVILION

The Pavilion is a place where residents can come together to get to know one another or simply relax & enjoy themselves. Like at the halls, the Pavilion acts as a common area for residents. It is equipped with a TV projector that has Foxtel Cable, DVD/VCD player, VCR player and sound system. You can always have a game of pool with other residents. There is also a kitchen area, equipped with a stove, oven and microwave. Residents who wish to use the Pavilion late at night are advised to close all windows and doors, in order to prevent disturbing residents who live nearby.

Here are some simple rules that residents should abide to:

  • This facility is a South East Flats residential common room. Its primary use is as a lounge, entertainment, group activity and study area. It is resident only unless special permission has been granted by the College Head.
  • The Pavilion must be left neat and tidy after use; please use the appropriate bins for recycling and general rubbish.
  • The yellow blinds must be left in the up position after use.
  • All equipment must be turn off and lights turned off. This includes the bathroom lights.
  • All furniture must be put back in its original position.
  • Generally watching the big screen TV/DVD/Foxtel is a priority in the evenings, studying is best done during the day. All residents are welcome at any time and other residents should make anyone else wanting to relax in the Pavilion feel welcome.
  • It can be booked for special functions and events by residents of the South East Flats but not for use by any organisation outside the residential community. Bookings can be made for Friday and Saturday evenings by contacting the College Head, there must be a good reason to want to book at other times as bookings can prevent usage by other residents.
  • The College Head will decide if and how many non residents may or may not be allowed for any booking.
  • Any resident wishing to use the BBQ facility on the deck should contact an RA ahead of time to pick up the key. The hot plate must be cleaned thoroughly and the tin under the plate emptied after each use.
  • Official South East Flats functions will have a priority at any time.
  • The Pavilion is there to make the life at South East Flats more enjoyable. It provides a venue to meet and socialise with your fellow residents. It is a wonderful place to chill out. Please use it to have FUN!

SEF Library

A corner has been set aside to act as the South East Flats' Library. Residents can borrow, lend, contribute books to the library.
