About Farrer Hall
Farrer Hall is a Hall of Residence for students, most of which attend Monash University's Clayton Campus. There are a few however, that do attend Monash University's Caulfield Campus. Farrer is situated north east of the Clayton campus and provides residents with ready access to both University facilities and a warm, friendly, fun atmosphere. Farrer Hall as a whole accommodates a total of 193 female and male students.
The 2nd of the Halls of Residences to be built, it took in its first ressies in May 1965. Farrer reached its full size in March 1966 with the completion of the "House of Lords", the separate block to the north of Farrer's main building (the "House of Commons"). The semi-detached part of Commons which sits on top of the common room has been known since the earliest days as "Chastity"...
The Hall itself, has great facilities for its residents. These include amazing common rooms, with its primary one sporting a large projector screen equipped with Foxtel and DVD and VCR players. There are also newly refurbished kitchens, table tennis room and music room which holds a piano for those musically inclined. We also have various study rooms and a computer room equipped with a black and white printer so you'll always get to hand in those assignments on time!

The residents of the Hall, senior and junior, come from wide and varied backgrounds. There are many exchange students who come from all around the world and lots of Australians, primarily from country Victoria. For these reasons Farrer is particularly adept at making the transition to University and living away from home easier on its residents.
Farrer is ready for you!
