NOVEMBER 2008

Attention Prospective Ferrets!

G’Day potential new ferrets,

My name is Damian J. Hudspeth and I am the President of the Farrer Hall Society for 2009. I am writing to tell you a little bit about what next year will have in store if you decide to become a Farrer Ferret. Living here at Farrer, you will experience many new things, whether it be adjusting to a whole new way of learning or swimming naked in a lake for charity (I know about that one first hand). One thing I guarantee however, is that if you choose to live at Farrer Hall in 2009, by this time next year you will have enjoyed one of the best years of your life and be hungry for more like I am!

Farrer Hall has a reputation of being the most socially active hall at Monash University. Myself and the other Hall Society members will be spending our summer organising our best O-Week program yet, and if history is anything to go by they have a tendancy to put any schoolies experiences to shame. Farrer O-Week is a pre-organised week of activities that take place in and around Melbourne and here at Monash Clayton to help you settle in to university life and meet the new people you will be living with. We do anything and everything from soaking up the sun at the beach, to clubbing in the city until all hours of the morning. (Check out our 2006 O'Week Program.)

We have a well experienced team of fine-tuned ferrets assembled to help you settle in during your first week at Farrer and at University. The Farrer Hall Society and Monash Student Association are also kept busy throughout the year organising functions and events for you guys, ensuring the fun times and interesting activities continue all year round during your studies here at Monash.

So jump on board new ferrets, and get ready to make heaps of new friends and embark on one of the best years of your life!

Yours Sincerely,

Damian Hudspeth

Farrer Hall Society President

WEEK 13 - SEMESTER 2 2008

Appointing of 2009 RST!

Farrer Bunch

The wise heads of Farrer Hall gathered this week, to hand-pick new members for the Residential Support Team. They spent several sleepless nights at Trev's house carefully selecting which ferrets would join the 2009 family.

One can't help but wonder what they were thinking! If only they had seen this disturbing imagery prior to making their selections.

Haha! Just jokes.. Congrats to Phoebe, Emily, Shorty and Pav on their selection as 2009 RAs.

WINTER 2007

Farrer Ski Trip

At 6am on the 21st of August, 32 ferrets and 21 non-ferrets were lapsing in and out of consciousness on a 57 seater coach parked on Normanby Road adjacent to the Farrer car park. Most were very irritable and ready to castrate anyone who interfered with their quiet time at such an early hour, however they were yet to know of the incredible times that were to be experienced later that day.
