Graduation ceremony in Beijing, China

Monash University is pleased to invite family and friends to join their loved ones for the inaugural Monash Graduation ceremony in Beijing, China in 2009.  The ceremony will be held on Saturday 21 February 2009 in the prestigious Grand Hyatt Beijing Hotel. 

The University recognises the support, sacrifices and contribution of parents, family and friends to the success of all its students.  The 2009 Beijing Graduation ceremony allows graduands to celebrate their achievements with family and friends.  The ceremony will be run according to the University’s Western graduation traditions, in full regalia.

Monash looks forward to keeping in contact with all its graduates.  Graduates of the 2009 Beijing Graduation ceremony will join a growing community of Monash alumni from China and around the world.  The ceremony will coincide with a gathering of alumni and a series of research seminars, to be convened with several top Chinese universities and corporate partners.   Through these events, the university will introduce new alumni to its existing members in China, and provide an opportunity to build and expand social and career networks for all its graduates in China.

The 2009 Beijing Graduation ceremony will be a significant event in the Monash calendar and we hope that you can be a part.

Applications to graduate in the Beijing ceremony can be lodged now and close on 30 November 2008. As there is a limit to the number of graduands for the ceremony, please apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The fee to attend the ceremony is AUD$156 and includes hire of your academic dress for the ceremony, tickets to the ceremony for both you and three guests, copies of the graduation program, your pouched testamur including an official academic transcript and refreshments for both you and your guests after the ceremony.  Details of how to apply can be found at: http://monash.edu/graduations/apply.html
