Graduations

Graduation is the culmination of all your hard work, study and experience at Monash University and is a celebration of your academic achievement.

The Graduations Unit is responsible for 30 'onshore' graduation ceremonies and 6 'offshore' graduation ceremonies each year, and aims to make each ceremony a celebration of your success.  Graduation is an essential part of the academic experience attended by your family, friends, staff members and other friends of Monash University from the wider community.

To ensure the success of your ceremony, we suggest that you use this website to access information regarding graduation, especially in regard to our frequently asked questions.

To graduate, you must complete and submit an 'Application for Graduation' form by the closing date.  If you are currently in your final semester of study, you should apply now to graduate in Semester 1, 2009.

We look forward to celebrating your wonderful success and for you to become the newest alumni of the University.

Semester 2 2008 Graduand information

Lists of student ID's for applications received for Semester 2, 2008 ceremonies are now available.

Please go to "Confirm receipt of your application to graduate form for Semester 2 2008 graduations" to locate your ID number.

If you have lodged an application form and your ID does not appear in the designated list, please email us at: graduations@adm.monash.edu.au and we will check it for you.

If you make any subsequent change to your original application (eg. change of venue or in absentia to attending) your ID will NOT be transferred, it will still appear according to your initial choice.

A letter confirming the date and time of the graduation ceremony for both attending and in absentia graduands will be sent six weeks prior to your allocated ceremony.

Approaching each ceremony, these ID lists will change to a list of names of graduands who are eligible for graduation.  You should then check the list for your name and degree title.  Tickets and gown hire forms will then be posted to eligible graduands approximately three weeks before each ceremony.  The coloured gown hire form must be returned to reserve your correct sized academic dress.
