The Faculty of Science Dean’s Postgraduate Research Scholarship Program gives scholarships to Masters by Research and PhD students, giving the faculty’s brightest graduates an immediate pathway to a higher degree.

The Dean of Science Professor Rob Norris established the program to help address a national need for more investment in science and technology research. He and his wife Margaret have made a substantial gift and pledge to the scheme.

Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing a Higher Degree by Research after achieving first class honours. The scheme is structured as an endowment fund – meaning that the scholarships will be able to be offered in perpetuity.
