Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences Scholars Bursary

The Scholars Bursary will help students like Nergis Alsan. With the faculty's support, Nergis now has the chance to overcome a decade of adversity and fulfil her dream to be a surgeon.

The Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences Scholars Bursary will help promising young people who are experiencing financial and personal adversity.

The initiative will provide bursaries to inspire and support local and international students; students who otherwise might not be able to start, or complete, their health care education at Monash University.

These students are from all walks of life. They might come from less-developed countries or arrive in Australia as refugees. Some come from rural areas, while others are from Australia’s remote Indigenous communities.

Your support will help students in three ways:

• Bursaries to support tuition and living expenses for selected international students
• Bursaries to help local students with living expenses
• Emergency funds for faculty students facing financial or personal hardship
