Indigenous Students Education Program

Your donation will help improve mainstream school engagement with Indigenous issues by working in partnership with Indigenous families and their communities. It is true that unless we have more, and better, teachers in Indigenous communities we will struggle to ensure that more Indigenous children go on to enrol at university. This is why your support now, can make a huge difference in the lives of Indigenous people. We are teaching the teachers of the future and need your support.

The Faculty of Education Scholarships and Bursaries

Our students are working hard to have a positive impact on education, and on our young people. Many of these people are the teachers of the future, and they need your support. Students face many challenges. Many will graduate with significant debt from their university course. Many work additional hours in their part-time job just to pay for life’s necessities like rent and food. Your donation will help us provide vital support for our most talented students.

The Centre for Science Education Program

Your donation will help in training our teachers better in how to impart a love of science and maths, and to ensure they have the necessary skills themselves to do better in these areas. We need to improve understanding of science, mathematics, technology and ICT education and promote their public image. Our aim is to ensure we encourage more and more young people to want to pursue careers in the sciences.

Inclusive and Special Education Training and Development Program

Your donation will equip future teachers with the strategies to assist children with additional needs, to work as part of a team of specialists involved with the child, and to work with and support the families. Students with additional needs tend to have poorer educational outcomes, which leads to decreased employment opportunities. By improving their educational opportunities, students with a variety of what we call special needs, can have more positive long-term outcomes in life.
