The Monash University Council has prime responsibility for the setting and approval of fees for courses offered by the University. Council approves the range of fees for courses offered by each Faculty and delegates to the Vice-Chancellor the authority to approve or vary fees within agreed parameters.
The Vice President, Administration approves the Miscellaneous Fees.
The Federal Government, through the Department of Education Science and Training (DEST), determine payment arrangements available through schemes such as HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP and OS-HELP.
All student fees are required to be paid by a specified due date. Failure to pay outstanding fees will result in the cancellation of a student's enrolment. Final year students will not be recorded as a graduate and no complete results or complete academic record will be issued, unless full payment of all outstanding debts is made.

For future years of your course, Monash University reserves the right to adjust annual tuition fees. However the University undertakes that any adjustment factor will not exceed 6% per annum and will be applied on the 1st of January each year for that calendar year.

Fee paying students undertaking a permanent course transfer will be fee assessed at the commencing rate of the new course relevant to the year the student transfers. Students should contact their faculty office to discuss any circumstances that warrant consideration to vary the applicable commencing fee.
