Reading your online 'Enrolment Details and Fee Statement'

An online Enrolment Details and Fee Statement is issued for every semester of enrolment.

There are six easy steps to checking this:

Adding or dropping a unit after your first fee assessment.

Your Name and Address

Check your address. If it is incorrect, you can change it online via WES or obtain a change of address form from the Student Services Centre on any campus.

Enrolment Details

If your unit or course enrolment is not correct please contact your faculty. If unit details are incorrect, you must complete an Enrolment Amendment form with your Faculty or make the necessary changes online.

Course Code and Title: Current enrolment in course(s). Ensure these are correct.
Status: Enrolment standing at date of issue, eg enrolled, discontinued, unconfirmed.
Campus: Campus on which course is located.
Fee Cat: Office code only. Indicates the fees you pay.
Student Status opt: Office code only. Indicates payment method applicable.
TFN Supplied: Indicates whether an Australian Tax File Number is required and if required, has been received. Any HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP students who elect to have their tuition fee deferred to the Australian Tax Office need to supply a Tax File Number.
Unit Code and Title: Current unit enrolment details as at the fee assessment date. Ensure these are correct.
Sem: The semester you are enrolled in this unit.
Class: Attendance type eg day, distance education, evening.
Credit Points: The number of points this unit will earn towards your degree if the unit is passed.
EFTSL:

Equivalent Full Time Student Load. Credit points undertaken in a given semester are calculated as a fraction of the full time annual load, normally 48 credit points. For example a subject worth 6 credit points would have an EFTSL of 6/48 or 0.1250.

  • Full-fee students - Multiply the unit EFTSL by the annual cost of your course to find your fees for that semester
  • CSP students - Multiply the unit EFTSL by the Student Contribution band to find your fees for that unit
Student Contribution Band Applicable to CSP-liable students only.

Payment Summary

Fee Assessment Record: The period for which fees are being charged
Tax Invoice/Adjustment Note: Indicates that this notice is acceptable to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
Student ID: Your Monash University student identification number
Date of Issue: Date the fees were assessed and the notice produced
Amount Payable: Total amount due as at the date issued
Payment due by: Full payment must be made by this date

If You Wish to Change Your Student Status or Apply For FEE-HELP

Collect the relevant form from a Student Services Centre on any campus. If you wish to change to the Student Status Deferred option or seek FEE-HELP you must provide a tax file number. All changes must be made by the due date for payment of fees for the relevant unit of study.

Balance Brought Forward: The amount outstanding from a previous semester
HECS-HELP: The Student Contribution amount that will be reported to the Government. You are not required to pay now.
Student Contribution Upfront payment: The Student Contribution Amount charge that you have elected to pay upfront. If eligible the 20% discount has been deducted.
FEE-HELP: The FEE-HELP amount that will be reported to the Government. You may elect to pay a partial or total amount to the University or defer it to the Government.
BOTP: The FEE-HELP amount that will be reported to the Government. You may elect to pay a partial or total amount to the University or defer it to the Government.
Tuition Fee: The full-fee charged for the semester for students in the following categories
  • Domestic undergraduate
  • Domestic postgraduate
  • international student
  • single unit or non-award
Fine: May be for late enrolment, late payment of fees, late confirmation dispute.
Open Learning Charge: The cost of having an open learning unit credited towards a Monash degree (for international students only).
Total: The complete amount of fee charges for this period.
Payment Due Date: The date the individual fee amount is to be paid.
Assessed Amount: Total cost for this fee type.
Sponsor Amount Due: Amount assessed that sponsor must pay (if applicable).
Student Amount Due: Amount that has been assessed that the student must pay.
Student Receipts: Amount you have already paid.
Student Balance: Current balance in course fees account.

Note: No GST is charged for any of the fees.


Deposit Slip

The deposit slip only needs to be printed if you wish to pay at an Australia Post outlet.

Making a Partial Student Contribution Amount Payment

Note: Only payments of $500 or more per semester will attract a 20% discount. Simply nominate an amount when making your payment.
