Custom House - Payment instuction

Using the system provides payment transfer details that you can:

• use with your online banking account, or
• take to your local bank branch to process

The system allows you to:

• fill out the form to initiate payment in languages other than English
• choose between different currency options (depending on your country) to pay your Monash fees

To use the system you will need:

• Your Monash Student ID number (all students)
• Details from your Offer Letter (commencing students)
• Details from your Fee Statement (continuing students)
• Sufficient funds in your bank to cover the required fees amount
• Payment completed within 48 hours (by online banking or through local bank branch)
• A printer to print your Payment Instruction for your record

How to use the Custom House StudentPay payment system

Step 1. Student Information Screen

1. Choose the preferred language
2. Enter your personal details (all fields marked with an * are required)
3. Click on ‘Next’
   

Step 2. Payment Information Screen

1. Select all relevant fee types to pay (as advised by Monash)
2. Enter the amount (in AUD$) you are required to pay (as advised by Monash)
3. Select ‘Display/Print – payment instructions for Wire Transfer’
4. Click ‘Next’

Note:

Western Union payment option is only available in China to make payment in China local currency.

Step 3. Payment Process screen

• If Custom House has a bank account(s) in your country, you will be able to pay in your local currency (and also choose between banks)
• If Custom house does not have a local account, you will need to purchase a major currency to convert to Australian dollars
  

1. Select the currency to pay your fees (the currency selector allows you to compare conversion outcomes and select your preferred currency or bank)
2. Click ‘Process transaction’
3. Click ‘OK’ on pop-up to confirm you will complete payment within 48 hours (the exchange rate quoted is guaranteed for 48 hours only)

Step 4. Payment Instruction

The Payment Instruction shows the amount of local/major currency you are to pay and the Custom House Bank account details to where the funds will be transferred.

Paying by personal online banking

• Print Payment Instruction and use details to make payment transfer within 48 hours
• Retain Payment Instruction for your records

Payment through local bank branch

• Print Payment Instruction and take to your local bank within 48 hours
• Request your bank to use the details to transfer the stated amount from your bank account to the Custom House bank account
• Also print a copy of the Payment Instruction to retain for your records
  

Payment through Western Union (China only)

• Print Western Union Payment Instruction (see below)
• Use details to make payment transfer within 48 hours in your nearest China Post or China Everbright Bank that process Western Union payments. Click here  to find the nearest branch.
