Custom House payments

Our preferred method for students paying their fees from overseas is Custom House StudentPay, which is a safe and fast payment method that lets you:

• Track your payment progress
• Pay in your local currency
• Pay with various major currencies

Note every country has different banking laws, which will determine available currencies.

You will need:

• Your student ID number (all students)
• Your offer letter (commencing students)
• Your fee statement (continuing students)    
• Access to a printer

For continuing students, please allow 5 working days before you can view your payment on WES.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Student information

1. Choose your preferred language
2. Enter your personal details (all fields marked with an * are required)
3. Click Next >>

2. Payment information

1. Select the fee types that you want to pay (as advised by Monash)
2. Enter the amount (in AUD$) that you are required to pay
3. Select Display/Print – payment instructions for Wire Transfer
   (Note: Western Union is only available in China to make payments in local currency)
4. Click Next >>

3. Payment process

1. Select the currency to pay your fees (the currency selector allows you to compare conversion rates and select your preferred currency or bank)
2. Click Process transaction
3. Click OK on the pop-up to confirm you will complete payment within 48 hours (the exchange rate quoted is guaranteed for only 48 hours)

4. Payment instruction

The Payment Instruction shows the amount of local/major currency you are to pay and the Custom House bank account details to where the funds will be transferred.

Paying by personal online banking

1. Print the Payment Instruction and use to make payment transfer within 48 hours
2. Retain the Payment Instruction for your records. This completes the transaction

Payment through local bank branch

1. Print the Payment Instruction and take to your local bank within 48 hours
2. Request your bank to use the details to transfer the amount from your bank account to the Custom House bank account
3. Print a copy of the Payment Instruction for your records. This completes the transaction

Payment through Western Union (China only)

1. Print the Western Union Payment Instruction
2. Use it to make payment transfer within 48 hours in your nearest China Post or China Everbright Bank that processes Western Union payments Locate your nearest branch
3. Retain the Payment Instruction for your records. This completes the transaction
