Supplementary & Special (Deferred) Examinations.Supplementary ExaminationsUnder some circumstances, faculties may allow students to undertake supplementary examinations. Please refer to your faculty office for further information. Special (Deferred) ExaminationsA student may be permitted to sit for a special (deferred) examination where illness or other serious cause has prevented the student from taking all or part of a examination, or where performance in an examination or work during the year has been gravely affected by illness or other serious cause. Consult your faculty handbook regarding eligibility and application procedures for Special Consideration, Supplementary and Special (Deferred) examinations. Deferred and Supplementary Examinations - Semester Two 200925 - 29 January 2010. (Unless alternative arrangements have been made by your teaching department) If you are granted a result of either "NS" or "DEF" in a semester one unit, you should check your my.monash portal on 22 December for your exam timetable. Results will be published in February 2010.Students Wishing to Sit Examinations OverseasApplications to sit interstate or overseas during the August deferred or supplementary examination period will not be accepted. This service applies to students returning to their homes overseas during the January deferred or supplementary examination period only. A network of examination venues has been created to cater for this requirement. Students applying to sit their deferred or supplementary examination(s) overseas must choose one of the venue locations provided on the application form. Approval will not be granted to students requesting to sit their examinations at a location other than a venue location provided on the application form. The Application form may be obtained from the Examinations Unit, First Floor Building 53, Clayton campus in mid November, or you can download it here. The cost to sit examinations overseas is: One exam: $364.00 Two exams: $728.00 Three or more exams: $1,092.00 Application deadlines December 2009 (Exact date to be advised) Note: Approval to sit examinations overseas during the Summer Semester will not be granted to any student who is enrolled in an on-campus unit.
