At Monash University the grades used pre 1992 differ to the grades used today.

Monash University College Gippsland and Gippsland Institute of Advanced Education
These grades were used prior to 1993.
Gippsland changed its point system in 1994:
- from 1995 onwards - normal full-time enrolment equals 48 points per year
- before the end of 1994 - normal full-time enrolment equalled 8 credit points. This was equivalent to 1 year of full-time study at post-secondary standard.
