Monash Golden Key has been involved with the Red Cross for several years, and has raised significant amounts of money for the Red Cross during that time. We're doing it again in 2008, and we need people to sign up as volunteer collectors!

The Monash Golden Key Door-Knock will be held on Sunday 16th of March, with a free lunch (pizza) for volunteers.

Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Victoria presents A Song To Sing O

A Song to Sing O is Melvyn Morrow's wonderfully theatrical play with music and songs, celebrates the career of George Grossmith, the first G&S patter comedian. The play is set backstage as GG makes up for his last performance at the Savoy Theatre in 1888, as Jack Point in The Yeomen of the Guard. He recounts his career, and sings songs from the roles he created such as Ko Ko, Robin Oakapple and The Lord Chancellor.

Monash University's Sunway campus will commemorate its 10th anniversary this year. The 10th Anniversary Celebration will see the campus highlight its accomplishment over the past decade in research and teaching, as well as showcase staff, student and alumni achievements.

In line with the campus' aim to contribute actively to the Malaysian community, events such as public lectures in research and teaching innovation, School and poster exhibitions, campus and facility tours will serve as a showcase of the campus' steady growth and expansion since its establishment in February 1998.

The celebration will culminate in the 10th Anniversary Gala dinner, which will see many guests from the government, industry and education sectors, colleagues from other Monash campuses as well as alumni, staff and students attending.

Hosted by MSA Activities and co-presented by Melbourne Indoor Paintball, Greenweek is a rollicking week of team games, free food, activities including billycart racing, pool competition, paintball, Sir John's Bar night, trivia night and more.

Jack Holden - Head, Carbon Management Ecos Corporation will speak about how carbon will affect the hip pocket. As one of our country's responses to climate change, a national carbon trading scheme will start in 2010, affecting all sectors. Jack Holden is involved in the development of carbon offset standards and policies, particularly within local and state governments. His practical experience in the creation, verification and purchase of carbon offsets equips him well to explain how carbon trading will affect your business.

Each year the ACBD invites currently enrolled Science, Biomedical Science and Medical undergraduates interested in pursuing postgraduate studies in medical research to an information evening. This evening is aimed at providing insight into the research activities and opportunities available at the ACBD.

Research staff and current PhD and honours students will be on hand to answer questions and discuss postgraduate opportunities.

MONSU Peninsula's annual Sexual Awareness Week has arrived!
During the week we will have many fun activities, including a characturist, chocolate fountain, and jumping castle, as well free food during the day.

On Thursday 21 August, MONSU Peninsula will host our annual 'Sex It Up' Party, with the theme this year being 'Wild @ Work'. The party is held at the Seahorse Tavern on campus.

Tickets will be sold for $10 at our launch on Thursday 14 August, $12 during Sexual Awareness Week, and $15 on the door on the night. Tickets can be purchased from the MONSU Peninsula Service desk (next to the bookshop).

From Ferranti to Faculty -- Information Technology at Monash University, 1960 to 1990 Sarah Rood tells the story of the foundation of the first faculty dedicated to computing and information technology in Australia. Covering the period from the late 1950s until 1990, when the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at Monash University was formed, it spans the establishment phase of the discipline of computing.
