Linking the faculties of Arts, Law, and Business and Economics the interdisciplinary Master in European and International Studies program aims to provide professionals or future professionals with a deep understanding of the institutional framework and policy-making processes of the European Union (EU) and its relations with non- EU countries, regions and international organizations. It investigates its political, legal, economic, social, humanitarian, environmental and security implications for the international system.

The course draws on a variety of disciplines: management, law, politics, sociology and history. It is tailored to suit the needs of recent graduates as well as those of mid-career practitioners who wish to develop their expertise in EU affairs.

Graduate Diploma in European and International Studies

The Graduate Diploma exists as an exit point from the Master program, on completion of one year of full-time study or two years of part-time study (48 points).

Postgraduate courses with a research component

The Centre promotes top quality research on Europe, the EU in the world and encourages international research exchanges and collaborations between Australia and Europe. A Master of Arts degree by research, a Master of Arts by coursework and research in European and EU Studies, a Master in European and International Studies (research orientation) and a Doctor of Philosophy in European Studies are also available.

The Centre hosts PhD students, international fellows and world-famous professors with expertise in European and EU affairs, who contribute to its teaching and research programs.
