2009 European Travel Grants for Staff

Applications for Monash University’s 2009 European Travel Grants available in this round were:

• Europe Travel and Hosting Grants (approximately 10-12 grants).
  Grants of up to A$8000 to support a visit to a European partner institution, or to support the visit of a collaborating partner to Monash. For the purpose of this round, Europe included the 27 EU states plus the associated states that participate and contribute to the Framework Programme (including Switzerland and Israel).
• Monash Fellowship at King’s College London (1-2 grants).
  A 3-6 month fellowship, tenable at King’s College London. Preference was given to projects in Australian, British or European studies.
• Bill Kent Prato Research Fellowship (1 fellowship available).
  This fellowship provided support to a maximum of A$10,000 to develop or conduct part of a research project while based at the Prato Centre. Proposals in the areas of migration and social inclusion, medieval and renaissance studies or accident research/prevention were welcomed in this round.

Applications were invited from early- and mid-career academic staff with a permanent or fixed term appointment at Monash.
