Integrating Ecosystem Modelling and Observational Research Using Ecoinformatics

This project will enable climate researchers in Australia and overseas to share data and analysis techniques related to surface-atmosphere interaction. The key objectives are:

  • To provide a web-based interface to the Australian community land-surface model (LSM),
  • To make data analysis and data visualisation procedures developed at SGES Monash available to Australian and international researchers,
  • To enhance climate research capabilities and that of the Australian LSM community by providing a clearing-house that enables others to contribute their ideas and examples of data analysis and visualisation procedures, and
  • To act as a proof-of-concept prior to establishing a national facility for on-line land-surface modelling as part of AEON/NCRIS/ARCNESS.
