Monash e-Research Centre

MeRC can provide advice, information and assistance to researchers to help them identify, specify, develop and configure IT tools and data management systems and practices to meet their specific needs. See also Help and MeRP project.

MeRC can also assist researchers:

• develop research grant applications
• build collaborations between groups, faculties, nationally and internationally

IT Services Division

ITS currently operates the following services in support of e-Research at Monash:

• Monash Campus Grid - High performance compute facility
• LaRDS - Large research data store

ITS also provides the following services for researchers:

• IT services for staff
• IT services for students
• Enhanced computing service environment - for HDR students
• GrangeNet - Research network.
  GrangeNet was decommissioned (Australia-wide) at the end of 2006. ITS is consulting with users as to continuing needs for the local Monash components of GrangeNet.

Monash University Library

Monash University Library provides a wide range of services to support researchers. The library Research Support Plan outlines how the library intends to contribute to the development of Monash University as a leading research-intensive university.

The Library maintains theMonash University ARROW repository which is a digital archive for Monash University's research output. ARROW contains published articles, working papers, conference proceedings, historic photographs and PhD theses. Its purpose is to store the research publications of Monash academic staff and postgraduate students and to promote global online access to that content.

Monash Research Office

The Monash Research Office provides a range of support services for researchers, including the following research administration information systems:
