Monash High Performance Computing (HPC) facilities

The Monash Campus Grid (MCG)

The Monash Campus Grid (MCG) provides a variety of high-performance computing capabilities. For access contact Neil Clarke.

Ongoing development of the MCG is described here. A unified access process covering MCG, VPAC and APAC high performance computing facilities is currently being developed.

The Monash Campus Grid (MCG) high performance computing facilities currently comprise:

Components of the Monash Campus Grid (MCG) can be accessed in a variety of ways:

Mathematical analysis packages

Monash is currently reviewing whether it is feasible to establish a site license for MatLab.

In addition, a number of popular public domain analysis packages are available on the Monash Campus Grid:

  • Octave
  • Scilab

Different packages are more suitable for different purposes - for advice please contact: Philip Chan.

Statistics on the Monash Campus Grid can be obtained here (login required): http://www.monash.edu.au/eresearch/services/mcg/mcg-stats.
