Faculty of Law National Human Rights Consultation Collaborative Submission Site Launch

On 9 April, 2009 the Monash Faculty of Law National Human Rights Consultation Collaborative Submission site was officially launched.

The site is a collaborative wiki workspace based around a Faculty of Law submission to the Australian Government's National Human Rights Consultation, and is open to the community. In the wiki, academics from the Faculty of Law will discuss and explore a possible charter of rights along with other new rights-protection mechanisms for Australia, and will develop content in association with any interested parties within Monash.

The wiki not only allows Law academics to edit and create content, but also encourages collaboration from people outside the Faculty, including students. Through this form of community consultation, the objective is to collaboratively develop a submission that not only explores important legal considerations, but the thoughts and opinions of the wider Monash community.
