Monash e-Research Centre eXPO 2011

Exhibition - Demonstrations - Seminars - Advice

24 - 26 August, 2011 (Caulfield Campus)

All researchers, students, and members of the broader e-Research community are invited to attend our annual Monash e-Research Centre eXPO of 2011,
Empowering Your Research:  Advanced Information Communication Technologies and Solutions.

Attendance is free and you are welcome to visit at any time.

The eXPO is an informal forum in which Monash e-Research Centre staff and representatives from national and state institutions are on-hand to provide personalised advice to researchers and Higher Degree by Research students.

Along with some exciting demonstrations and seminar presentations by leading national e-Research and MeRC representatives, the eXPO is an ideal opportunity for e-Research institutions to engage with one another and generate ideas leading to the ICT solutions of the future.

Why all the fuss, and why is e-Research so important for Australian researchers?

- The Monash e-Research Centre (MeRC) encourages collaborative research through the use of the latest information and communication technologies (ICT).

- We connect local and global researchers, enabling them to share and manage their research in ways that are faster and more secure.

- Our services improve the efficiency and speed of studies and experiments. This means our researchers can process and manage research data thousands of times faster than if they used conventional methods.

- We offer specialist advice and customised solutions for:

  • High performance computing
  • Modelling and simulation facilities
  • Storage and management of research data
  • Advanced collaboration platforms
  • Visualisation platforms
  • Specialised server hosting

(The Monash e-Research Centre is a partnership between the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research, the Office of the CIO, the Library and the Faculty of Information Technology.)

We look forward to seeing you at eXPO 2011!
