A number of LaRDS enhancement activities are planned for 2009 including:

• Expand LaRDS Novell capacity [ongoing]
• Migrate LaRDS iFolder service to eR SAN
• Commission production LaRDS iRODS services (previously DART SRB demonstrator)
• Commission production LaRDS general purpose data-base services [Oracle DONE]
• Commission MediaFlux digital asset management system
• Migrate Monash ARROW services to LaRDS storage infrastructure
• Expand LaRDS disk capacity to 500TB
• Expand LaRDS tape library capacity to 3.1 PB 
• Expand LaRDS tape media capacity to 2.4 PB
• Redeploy VeRSI storage capacity
• Develop LaRDS usage accounting and capacity allocation systems
• Commission enhanced Samba services
• Decommission and transition iBrix to main LaRDS platform
