Monash EVO pilot - Quick-start guide

Important terminology

‘Koala’:  The EVO client software running on our PC.

‘Panda’:  An EVO server.  Your Koala will establish a connection to a nearby Panda server.  EVO operates a global network of Panda servers – there are currently two in Australia: ‘AARNET_AU’ located in Brisbane (operated by AARNet), and ‘MONASH_AU' located in Clayton (provided by Monash University).

Getting it working

If you’ve just installed a new Logitech camera following its instructions, you will have installed the Logitech QuickCam software and you will have opened the Logitech QuickCam QuickCapture preview window to check that the camera is working.  Once you’ve done that, make sure you close the Logitech QuickCapture preview window before you start EVO, otherwise EVO may not be able to pick up the feed from your camera. More...
