About us and about e-Research

‘e-Research’ is the use of cutting-edge information and communication technology (ICT) to facilitate and enable global collaborative research, smaller niche research and research requiring advanced computing.

The Monash e-Research Centre (MeRC) is a partnership between the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), eSolutions, the Library and the Faculty of Information Technology, providing specialist advice and customised e-Research solutions for researchers of all disciplines.

The key areas are:

  •   Data Storage and Management

MeRC empowers Monash researchers with customised ICT solutions and on-going support and platforms throughout a research project, enabling faster, better and more creative research. 

e-Research enhances the ability of researchers to draw upon a wide range of expert perspectives to address complex research questions.

About the Monash e-Research Centre

MeRC also aims to proactively develop e-Research links, not just within the university sector, but also with researchers in industry and the community.

The Monash e-Research Centre was established in 2005 as an initiative of the DVC Research.
