The Equity and Diversity Centre supports students and staff to reach their full potential by promoting inclusive practices across the University. Discrimination, harassment and victimisation
Discrimination, harassment and victimisation provides training, tailored workshops on request, advice and support for individual and group responsibilities under state and federal equal opportunity and anti-discrimination legislation and mentors the Discrimination and Harassment Grievance Advisers network.
Disability support is available to staff members regarding teaching strategies and reasonable adjustments to assist in minimising the impact of a student's disability on academic performance. Advice for staff with a disability can also be provided.
Advancing women at Monash
The Women’s Leadership and Advancement Scheme supports Monash’s goal of being an employer of choice for women within the higher education section. By monitoring the employment profile of female staff (academic and professional), providing advice on strategies that contribute to the recruitment, retention and advancement of female staff and by facilitating career development programs for women, the Scheme aims to assist the University in improving its performance in the area of workforce gender equity.
