Enrolment instructions – summer and winter

To enrol in summer and winter semester units, you must submit a form. You can't enrol using the Web Enrolment System (WES). Once your form is processed, your enrolment details will appear in WES. The steps to enrol are:

  1. Read your faculty enrolment procedures - faculty and unit information.
  2. Select units from the list offered by each faculty.
  3. Complete the Enrolment Amendment form from your faculty office.

For timetable information, contact your faculty.

Faculty responsibilities

Each faculty:

  • nominates the units (if any) they will offer during the summer and winter semester
  • accepts and processes your enrolment
  • lets you know teaching times, locations and teaching materials.

Faculty approval

Get departmental approval for unit enrolment before the cut-off date shown in faculty and unit information.

To study units from another faculty, you must get provisional approval from the host/teaching faculty first, except when the unit is:

  • taught by the Faculty of Information Technology or the Faculty of Business and Economics
  • core to your degree.

Take the form to your managing faculty for final approval.

Unit prerequisite rules

Check the University Handbook for details of unit pre-requisites. If you are waiting for results for a pre-requisite unit, you may enrol in the higher-level unit. If you then fail the pre-requisite unit, you should check your enrolment details, as your enrolment for this unit will be invalid. See failed and invalid units.
