You must go to your faculty on the date and time advised by International Recruitment Services. Read the important enrolment and orientation page for more information.
Your faculty may either:
- enrol you in a unit and advise you to complete the rest of your unit enrolment in the Web Enrolment System (WES)
- give you a Course Enrolment form to fill in, which you must have approved.
Faculty course information sessions
You must attend in person. There is no other way for international students to enrol. These are 2 - 3 hour sessions to help you understand how to meet course requirements.
Bring your:
- Monash offer letter
- 'Authority to Enrol' letter
- photo ID (passport)
If applying for credit for previous study, and/or recognition of prior learning (RPL) bring:
- outlines of the units you have studied
- certified copies of your academic transcripts
- documentation showing the structure of the course you want credit towards.
Double degree students may need to attend sessions for both faculties.
Check course information
Before you enrol, you need to:
- understand your course structure. Some have units you must take (core requirements). Most have units you can choose (electives)
- know the units and credit points needed (additional units over course requirements are not allowed)
- check which units are available. Some units cannot be taken without doing other units first (pre-requisites), or at the same time (co-requisites)
- optionally, find out if your faculty allows part-time study for your course.
Read the current course information handbook for course and units descriptions

Consider your options and decide on the units you will do:
- if enrolling at the start of the year, choose units for both semesters 1 and 2
- for mid year enrolment, choose units for semester 2 only.
Consider your timetable (optional)
If you need to plan your timetable, you may benefit from using the Monash University Timetable System (MUTTS) before you attend enrolment.
