Complete the enrolment steps or defer by the end of the enrolment week (VTAC), or as advised in your offer letter (non-VTAC), or your offer will lapse. Your enrolment is successful when you have your student ID card. Accept a later offerSee information in after enrolment Apply to deferWhen deferring your offer, you are guaranteed your place but are choosing to delay starting your course. The University allows you to defer your course for up to 12 months. In certain cases (eg. financial difficulties, compulsory military service), you can apply to extend this to 24 months. There is no cost to defer and you will not be charged any fees while you are on deferment. You must enrol, defer or reject your offer by the specified enrolment date. Some faculties may allow you to defer your course up until census date. For details, refer to your faculty enrolment information Monash may not approve or give credit for other study while you are on deferment. Note: The Australian Government plans to raise the Student Contribution Amount (SCA) for science, mathematics and statistics units. If you defer your Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), you may be charged a higher student contribution amount for these units from 2013.
