Double degrees (enrolments)

Double degree students:

  • study two single degrees at the same time
  • complete both in less time (usually 1 -2 years less) than doing them separately
  • benefit from the cross crediting of elective units (electives done in one course may count as the electives for the other)
  • report to a managing faculty for administration
  • must meet the requirements for both single degrees.

Managing and course award faculty

Each degree offered is an award of one of the faculties, eg a BA is an award of the Faculty of Arts. This is called the course award faculty.

For a double degree, we assign:

  • one course code
  • one course award faculty to be the managing faculty.

  • to submit your transfer application.
Cross-institutional study Course award For the unit(s) you wish to study at another institution, see the course award faculty where the units will be credited
Deferment Managing  
Graduation   The Graduations Unit manages all degree ceremonies
Applications are made online. See applying to graduate
Double degree students are awarded two degrees or testamurs - one for each single degree
You can graduate in:
  • each degree in separate course award ceremonies
  • both degrees in one managing degree ceremony.
