From international to domestic

You must notify us within 14 days of changing from any temporary visa (including a student visa) to an Australian Permanent Resident Visa (APRV). The change in status is the date shown on the visa label in your passportor on the visa grant letter and not the date of the original APRV application.

From domestic to international

You must notify us within 14 days of changing from domestic to any temporary visa status (including a student visa). The change in status is the date shown on the visa label in your passport or on the visa grant letter.

How this will affect your fees

Changing from international to domestic or the other way around will affect your course fees. They will change to reflect your visa status, and if the change occurs:

  • before the census date,it will affect your fees for those units
  • after the census date, it will not change your fees until the following teaching period.

From Australian Permanent Residence Visa (APRV) to Australian citizen

Holders of an APRV who obtain Australian citizenship should notify the University immediately to request an update to your student record.
