Losing your place at Monash

The University may cancel your place in a course due to:

• unsatisfactory academic progress (University Statute 6.2)
• academic and general misconduct (University Statute 4.1)
• health reasons (University Statute 6.3)
• unpaid course fees
• failure to re-enrol
• non-completion of the Enrolment Questionnaire (Higher Education Support Act 2003).

For Commonwealth supported students the reasons may also include:

• unpaid student contribution amount (Higher Education Support Act 2003)
• non-completion of a Request for Commonwealth Support or HECS-HELP form (Higher Education Support Act 2003).

The questionnaire and form are completed in the Web Enrolment System (WES).

Re-entry to a course

We may consider a request for re-instatement of enrolment. The process varies depending on the reasons for the losing your place at University. Contact your faculty for advice.
