Adam Shoemaker: "One of the great distinguishing things about Monash is its internationalism. It’s a global campus it’s all over the world. In South Africa, in Malaysia, in Australia, in Italy, and every student has access to an international experience. On campus, when they’re off campus and through technology. It’s one of the key features of the Monash Passport"

Narration: Expanding your knowledge of the world is crucial part of education. As Monash is Australia’s most international university we not only hope that you will meet and study with people from around the globe, we actively encourage it.

Campuses in both South Africa and Malaysia give students the opportunity to broaden their outlook in a way that wouldn’t be possible anywhere else.

Jenny Henderson: "I think I expected some of the things because I’d been travelling in Asian countries before, also I didn’t expect it to be quite as good as it is. I think the support we received from Monash and the university itself and the facilities have been exceptional and have really helped us to have the best experience while we’ve been here"

Shaun Ernst: "Didn’t really have any expectations. I didn’t know a lot about Malaysia and when I came here it was absolutely amazing. It was still developing, a bit more than I expected it to be. It’s been wonderful"

Dominique Staindl: "This could change something for me because I’m looking into getting a job here in Asia now. I wouldn’t have done that before"

Joanna Molloy: "Coming to Sunway has been fantastic in terms of it’s really, really similar to Australia so it’s quite easy because you’re used to all the ways it’s set out and all the units are the same so that’s handy but it’s an incredibly different way of living life so it’s been great"

Jenny Henderson: "Undergoing internships while I’ve been here and studying in a different country gives you an international portfolio and gives you an opportunity to use your skills in a different country and show that you’re really versatile"

Narration: Sunway Campus has all the modern educational facilities that are available in Melbourne but it is the chance to travel and meet people from other culture’s that is a major attraction.

Jenny Henderson: "Staying here has enabled me to undergo some experiences that have changed my view of the world not the exchange per se. I think travelling around, using Malaysia as a base to go other places has really opened up my view of the world, being able to visit so many places."

Dominique Staindl: "Getting away from K.L., getting out to the islands, getting away to little suburban cities has been the best. That’s where we’ve really experienced the day to day lives of Malaysians in general"

Narration: Monash has study agreements with more than 100 other universities in 25 countries so the question is not why you should take up the opportunity to study overseas but why shouldn’t you?

Jenny Henderson: "I think going on exchange to Malaysia is a fantastic experience and you shouldn’t hold back from going to another country and broadening your horizons and seeing new things and especially with the support of Monash being able to study in a different country is just an exceptional experience and opportunity"
