Get a head start
- With the Monash Enhancement Studies program, Victorian secondary students can enrol in a first-year university subject while still at school, gain credit towards their university degree and makes the transition to university life easier
- The annual Science Workshop in Malaysia brings secondary students from all over the country to the Sunway campus to learn about scientific research and applications, and gain insights into course and career selection
- The Science Olympiad Summer School provides Year 11 students with opportunities to enhance their knowledge, understanding and skill in the sciences. From this program, a team is chosen to represent Australia against other students from around the world.
- The Monash South Africa Foundation Program is a pre-degree bridging program that means students unable to get direct entry into a Monash degree can prepare for the pace and depth of undergraduate study, assisted by academic tracking and mentoring
Leadership programs
- The Ancora Imparo program at Monash in Australia offers a leadership program designed to help passionate and idealistic students prepare for future leadership roles. The program is for second-year students and offers them the chance to learn from distinguished Australian leaders – especially Monash Alumni
- Monash has partnered with technology giant IBM to invest in the next generation of Australian business leaders with the launch of a new $1.2 million Future Leaders Scholarship program.
- Community leadership is instilled in our medical students in Malaysia, who attend annual community placements of several weeks with local welfare agencies, local government service providers or community-based health and aged care organisations
Secondary schools on-campus
- The Victorian State Government has selected Monash University campuses to locate its new secondary schools for high-achieving students
- The John Monash Science School at the Clayton campus and the Berwick Selective school at the Berwick campus are set to open in 2010
