Academic progress concerns

Improving poor results

If you have failed a unit, act now to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Unsatisfactory academic progress

If your results do not improve, your faculty may ask you to explain your situation to its Academic Progress Committee (APC).

Important notices

Keep your address up to date in WES

Your faculty will send letters and notices to this address.

International students

Contact a student adviser for advice on student visa issues. You may lose your visa if you continue to fail units.

About special consideration

If you are having real problems that are affecting your study, our counsellors may be able to support your application for special consideration. However, you should be aware that:

  • You must always approach your faculty first
  • We will find it hard to support your application if we have not seen you during semester. We recommend you seek counselling as early as possible
  • We cannot comment on your medical condition. We will refer you to the health service if needed
