Guest Speaker

Catherine Fox is the deputy editor of AFRBOSS magazine and writes a weekly column, ‘Corporate Woman', for the Australian Financial Review. She joined the Australian Financial Review in 1989 and has held a variety of positions, including marketing and Smart Money editor, ’Corporate Woman' columnist and as a court reporter (winning the NSW Law Society's journalism award). Before joining the Australian Financial Review, she worked in financial marketing and consulting in Sydney and London. She has worked for a range of large and small organisations, including two of Australia's largest banks, a university and an advertising agency.

Catherine is the co-author (with Helen Trinca) of Better Than Sex: How A Whole Generation Got Hooked On Work, published in 2004 by Random House, on how work has changed and her latest book, examining why feminism has become a dirty word, is being released in May.

Catherine has completed a BA Communications at the University of Technology, Sydney and a MA Hons at the University of New South Wales.
