1ST GENERAL ASSEMBLY

The 1st General Assembly will be held in the Robert Blackwood Hall (Building 2) at 8 am, Monday 5th February.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME

The proceedings of the 28th SIL Congress will form Volume 28 of the Proceedings of the International Association for Limnology (which will be available in either hard copy or CD ROM format).

THE BALDI LECTURE:

Dr J.Talling (The Freshwater Biological Association, Ambleside, UK) "Freshwater phytoplankton: accessible, microbial, influential population dynamics" in the Robert Blackwood Hall, commencing at 9.30 am Monday 5th February.

THE KILHAM LECTURE:

Prof J. Melack (University of California, Santa Barbara, USA) "Ecological dynamics in saline lakes" in the South 1 Lecture Theatre at 8.30 am on Tuesday 6th February.
