7th International conference: Practice Development
The conference aims: to critically evaluate the culture and methodological
evolution within practice development of:
• person-centredness;
• partnership and participation
• purpose and proof;
• precepts and praxis
• process and product;
• portraits, panorama, palettes.
This is a participative, democratic event
primarily aimed at practitioners, practice
developers and those in facilitation roles.
The event will provide a forum for:
• The sharing of innovative strategies
currently utilised to improve practice
(eg action research, practice
development and reflective practice)
• Workshops on creative methods for
challenging and improving practice.
A conference climate will be created in
which participation and collaboration are
supported, rather than merely ‘delivering a
paper’, and in which practical experience
and jargon-free language are valued.
Practitioners will have the opportunity to
renew their confidence in the approaches
they are currently developing to improve
their practice and to celebrate their
successes. The three day conference is
spread deliberately over three days to
create time for reflection and networking
There will be opportunities to network and
learn with colleagues from across the
globe and to experiment with novel
approaches. |
