Douglas Bell, Director, Multi-modal Transport Solutions

Doug has been involved in many forms of transport planning since the early 1970s. He has worked in a variety of organisations such as state governments, transport consultancies and university research and is well versed in marketing, modelling, planning and research as they relate to transport planning.

In 2003, he established Multi-modal Transport Solutions to provide transport planning services across all modes and market intelligence designed to add value to policy development, project appraisal and transport planning. Whilst his direct experience includes several years in Sydney, Boston (USA) and The Hague ( Netherlands), Doug has now been involved in transport planning in Melbourne for over 25 years allowing for a greater appreciation of its history and a genuine interest in its future development.

Doug has academic qualifications in the fields of mathematics and information science as well as town planning and management.
