Prof Diane Coyle is the author of 'Sex, Drugs and Economics'. It explains why economics is so
important - and fun too. Texere also published her previous book, 'Paradoxes of Prosperity'. It looks at the political tensions arising from new technologies, which hold the promise of a great leap forward in prosperity but also hold the threat of great disruption. 'Paradoxes of Prosperity' received one of the 2001 awards from the Professional and Scholarly Publishing division of the AAP.
Prof Coyle’s current involvements are:
· Radio presenter on BBC Radio 4’s Analysis Program;
· Commentator for the radio segment Marketplace;
· Runs the consultancy firm, Enlightenment Economics;
· Visiting Professor at the Institute for Political and Economic
· Governance at the University of Manchester;
· Member of the UK Competition Commission
She was the Economics Editor of The Independent (UK) from 1993 – 2001 and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of
Economics. She was awarded the prestigious Wincott Award for Senior Financial Journalists.
