Work-Integrated Learning

Any work placement that is course-related and assessed by the University can be described as Work Integrated Learning (WIL).

WIL is a broad term that includes programs or activities such as:

• internships
• work placements
• cooperative education
• industry-based learning
• community-based learning
• experiential learning
• clinical rotations
• student projects
• competitions.

Support for Monash staff

We can help you access resources to support WIL outcomes and provide industry and community contacts.

All staff involved in WIL activities can join the Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN) free. The aims of the network are to:

• provide peer support
• network more effectively
• develop good practices.
