Research at the Peninsula Campus

Research is a key component for staff and students at the Peninsula campus. Currently there are 124 Higher Degree by Research students enrolled at the campus incorporating 50 PhD students and 57 Masters by Research students.

Staff are also heavily involved in a variety of collaborative research projects in conjunction with government organisations, industry, fellow Monash colleagues and other universities and research institutions.

Research undertaken at the campus covers a diverse range of areas with a theme of developing healthy, active and sustainable communities involving health, sport and recreation, education and enterprise.

All academic areas also focus on best practice in education. Research in areas including curriculum development, student learning and expectations, the role of the 'hands on' experience in tertiary education and the impact of professional education, demonstrate how vital research and teaching skills merge.
