2008 End of Year VCE Revision Lectures

End of Year VCE Revision Lectures will be held on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October 2008 at Monash University Peninsula Campus.

The following subjects will be offered:

 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm Extension of Maths Methods for CAS students
 4 pm to 6 pm English Text: "Look Both Ways"
OR English Text: "The Kite Runner"

The lectures have been chosen specifically for students in the region, and as such the English texts and maths modules have been selected because they are the most taught by schools in the region and surrounds.

Sessions are three hours with English sessions two hours.

A new, one hour Maths Methods CAS extension has been added to the program. While there is considerable overlap in Maths Methods and Maths Methods CAS, this one hour extension to the Maths Methods lecture covers the CAS element for those doing Maths Methods CAS.

Further Maths (Core)
Lecture covers the revision of the core, scientific calculator technique (bring calculator), examination examples and tips.

Further Maths (Modules)
Lecture covers the region's 4 most taught modules being Geometry Trigonometry, Number Patterns Applications, Business Maths and Graphs and Relations

History Revolutions
First half of the lecture covers exam preparation and technique followed by the primary revision of Russian and China revolutions and touching on French and American revolutions.

A new revision lecture for the English Text, "The Kite Runner" has also been added to the program

In line with the change in the English curriculum this year, the popular "English Writing Task" revision lecture and been replaced with the "Language Analysis and Writing in Context"
