Kate Rowe: "In my teaching degree, in third year, you get the opportunity to do practical experiences overseas or interstate if you choose to. I chose to go overseas to the Cook Islands. I applied and got in and that was a very beneficial experience."

Kate Rowe: "Before I started at Monash I was studying at another institution. I did a pathways program and did a previous course to get me into Monash and the course that I am currently doing now."

Kate Rowe: "The best aspects of my course are the class sizes, so my tutorial and lecture sizes. I've gotten to know my peers. I know pretty much everyone in my classes as well as my lecturers. I've got a good rapport with my lecturers. They know me by name and face and I just found that really helpful when it comes to questions you want to ask."

A title: I've volunteered overseas

Kate Rowe: "Opportunities that have come out from my placements overseas is prospective jobs for when I do finish my degree I will be able to put down on my resume that I've worked and volunteered in another country so if I'm looking for work overseas I've got that there."

Kate Rowe: "I really enjoy being down here at Monash Peninsula campus. Its got such a social and fun vibe and atmosphere to it and now with EastLink being open it takes me 30 minutes as opposed to the hour, hour and half that it used to so that's even more incentive to come down here and join in the fun down at Peninsula."
