Married and melting

Congratulations to two Peninsula campus staff members who tied the knot in separate ceremonies on one of the hottest days in January.

Amer Malik from Monash International married Rita and Joy Ronay (nee Trigg) from MONSU married Mal on Sunday, 22 January in 44 degree heat.

Amer and Rita on their wedding day

Amer and Rita were married in the Pioneer Women's Garden, Kings Domain. Rita designed her own gown for the big day. They honeymooned prior to the wedding in Europe and Malaysia.

Joy and Mal were married at the Pint and Pickle in Frankston, where Mal, a professional musician, often plays. Mal was originally to wear traditional Scottish garb but the extreme heat meant a last minute change of plan.
